Santa's Keys

Santas Keys!
When Santa can't come in through the chimney, we leave the keys on the front door with some cookies and milk on a table next to it. He always puts the keys back when he leaves:) I started this when my kids were wondering how santa gets in our house since we don't have a chimney, my mother in law brought me the "Santa" keys...its helped Santa get in every year since!
Happy Holidays!

What Women Want and Baby Blast were a HUGE success

Wow !!! What Women Want at the St. George Dixie Center was a HUGE success for Baby Blast- Flavored Binkie Spray! We calmed many babies as moms came by putting binkies out in front of me to spray for their little ones to enjoy! Many happy babies and happy moms:) Met a few of the office personnel for some OB doctors who came to the booth requesting I give them coupons and fliers for the gift bags they give out to new moms who come to their offices. We had 2 winners of the baby gift baskets that are made by Pendle's baskets located on Sunset Boulevard in St. George Utah!

Baby Blast may be a more natural solution compared to Sweet Ease

Baby Blast with its ALL natural ingredients  is a much healthier alternative to "Sweet Ease" which is a sucrose based product for babies used in the hospital. Sweet Ease has a base of sucrose which = table sugar. Baby Blast uses an ingredient (Vegetable Glycerin) that is naturally sweet, it  is derived from palm oil or coconut oil. Vegetable Glycerin does not cause an insulin spike and does not cause cavities.   Baby Blast also has natural added flavoring of vanilla to enhance the babies desire for the flavored pacifier spray. Pediatricians allover are using Baby Blast to calm the babies in their clinics, especially for procedures such as; blood draws, immunizations and circumcisions. Try out Baby Blast for your pediatric clinic or just try it at home on your children. Baby Blast is also great for spraying on teething rings to make them more desirable and also for breast feeding...Glycerin is known for its moisturizing properties so this is helpful for moms who are just starting out with breast-feeding and  are struggling  in the beginning due to soreness and it is also a great option to helping the baby latch on, which is a two-fold advantage.

*For a free sample for your pediatric office, please email info@baby-blast.com. Please give us your name, title and address to the clinic.

Mother of Invention

St. George’s “Mother of Invention”
By David W. Smith
Special to the Spectrum

While the saying, “Necessity is the mother of invention,” when it comes to crying babies, it takes a savvy, industrious mother to come up with a new invention that can indeed help comfort the little ones!
As a mother of five children, St. George resident, Raquel Wall knows her way around pacifiers and teething rings as well as the difficulty mothers can face when breast feeding finicky babies.
“Sometimes my babies didn’t want the pacifier and I couldn’t find a way to comfort them…So, I would dip their pacifiers into anything I could find, starting with corn syrup, then maple syrup, and then finally resorting to strawberry jam with my last child!” Raquel Wall described.
Indeed, her improvisational coatings were just enough to keep her babies happy. In fact, not only did the homemade glazes make the babies want their pacifier, it made them suck longer on it. The down side? The pacifier, the baby’s little fingers—and everything the baby touched—would get sticky! Hair, hands, arms, bodies…all had a way of becoming instant self-sticking goo-magnets!
The proverbial light bulb went off inside Raquel’s head one night; what about a spray that was water based, that could be easily sprayed on a pacifier or other teething tool, had delicious flavors that were natural and sugar free, and, avoided the sticky mess?
It was then that the “Baby Blast” was born.
“My husband and I brainstormed on a name for the spray, immediately coming up with what we thought was the perfect name, “Binkie Blast”…unfortunately, we found the word Binkie was actually trademarked to Playtex.,” Wall said. “We settled with the name, “Baby Blast,” and the rest was history!”
In addition to being extremely easy to use on pacifiers, it has been found very helpful in assisting with common nursing problems.
Dr. Kerri Smith, a St. George pediatrician said, “I have countless moms come into the office describing difficulty in getting their babies to take a pacifier or latch on to the mother’s breast. The Baby Blast is a smart and very logical solution for many moms having difficulty breast feeding or getting their babies to take a pacifier.”
The Baby Blast spray contains no artificial colors, flavorings or preservatives, no sugar or alcohol, and the bottles themselves are made of PET #1 with no BPA’s in the plastics. The ingredients are vegetable glycerine, purified water and natural flavors. Each 2-ounce bottle contains approximately 410 blasts per bottle and costs $6.95. Baby Blast is formulated and manufactured in St. George, Utah, and is currently available through www.baby-blast.com. Retailers will begin carrying the product in the coming months.

Breastfeeding and sore nipples

Wouldn't it be nice if you were able to use a spray for sore nipples that was all natural and your baby liked the flavor? I know as a nursing mom I would use everything when I had soreness, lanolin, shields you name it! Have you ever heard of vegetable glycerine? It is an all natural base ingredient in baby blast! Vegetable Glycerine holds in moisture. It also is a natural preservative and has its own sweetness that does not raise blood sugar! Baby Blast is an ALL Natural baby pacifier or teething ring spray that can also be used to assist with nursing...Natural VANILLA flavoring is subtle enough and the glycerine helps hold moisture in. For more information about vegetable glycerine go to http://www.wisegeek.com/m/what-is-vegetable-glycerin.htm If you want more informatiion about Baby Blast please visit www.baby-blast.com

Flavored Binky/Pacifier spray!

Hey everyone...just thought I would share some information about my new product I finally put together after 5 children! It is called "Baby Blast". An all natural flavored binky/ pacifier spray! This product is ALL natural...No alcohol, No sugar, No BPAs, No preservatives...just 100 % natural and delicious! The first flavor we have formulated is the vanilla, we wanted to start with something that would be subtle but most kids would like.

I came up with the idea after baby #5 when I went to the fridge for the 100th time to put some jam on Ella's binky so that she would suck on it and calm herself...It always worked and it lasted too! Sometimes she would suck on her binky for 30 minutes which bought me some time to get some dishes or laundry done! After a while I thought...hmmm...I wonder if there is any type of spray with flavoring that I could put on a binky? So I went to google it and couldnt find a thing out there except for a vanilla flavored pacifier and I couldnt even tell if they made them any more! I also noticed that there were moms looking for the same thing as me...So I went to a formulater of baby products and we put our heads together and we now have Baby Blast!
To be released in approximately 2 weeks! Please go to my facebook and like my page...and be watching for a discount coupon on your first order of baby blast! Baby Blast Facebook

Check back tomorrow, I will share with you some of the other great uses for baby blast and why!
Thanks...heres to more happy babies and happy moms!

Dipping binkies

Hey Moms! Have you ever dipped your baby's pacifier or binkie into something yummy at home so that they would suck on the binkie a little longer or even just take to the binkie? What have you dipped  a binkie in? What was your favorite? I used jam, syrup, sometimes punch:) It seemed to always help!
